When I was me
In the days of then and free
The time was so long
And simple words made a wondrous song
Clouds were ever broken by blue
With sun or stars peering through
I could see
When I was me
When I was you
In the dream of love and true
The joy was so real
And there was nothing wished the world conceal
Songs were found in living breath
Light as mindful heaven’s meth
I could anew
When I was you
When you were me
In the mind and heart of we
The sense was to unwind
Then recombine a spiritually different kind
Where parts became a whole
And infinity was our soul
I could be
When you were me

really nice poem, the first verse reminds me of when I was young, lying in a field of grass and daisies, looking up into the sky!
Thanks for reading and your nice comments.
