thus, with the ebb and the flow
of life’s wakefulness
came a tangential world; a consequence
that was awareness in unconsciousness
where the impossible was possible
and your seconds became my time
past actions became present reactions
or not
as the case
might
be

so
inevitably
it has come
to pass
that the shape of my tomorrow
has been fashioned
in the mists of dreamscapes
where spells, cast in cerebral shadows
were deterministic, however subtle
becoming the very me that was the other me
or not, as the case might be
