when darkness takes the security
a void of thought retains its purity
and the demons of forever night
are hindered by imagination’s light
so, in the space of timelessness
perhaps the very consciousness
creativity can preclude all fear
as though reality might truly appear
then take such precious opportunity
that could be no more than fortuity
to escape the mortal and molecular
becoming life spectacular
be thus a dedicated student of introspect
for darkness is here, but not so perfect
