to observe the passing of a day
the sum of entirety in a melancholic way
describe the fire, a lonely star, watch it fall
comes the chill of cosmic dynasty, yet all
whate’er the mind, to know the sky
will ever, as the transitory questions why
else can the next time beg appear
in what fraction of second, eternity, unclear
for, if the mist and clouds should part
taking the very heart
remains this corporal eye, born of light
bemused by the awe to see when night
o’ wonder, in each space we own
passing here, wherever, reflect alone
