oh ivory moon, shrouded by misty blue
looking upon, and wonder who
a charming smile would entertain
as daylight ends in summer rain
oh timeless stars with graceful light
caressing those who view the night
with quiet eyes and minds in awe
of boreal wonder, lives of straw
oh breath, seconds taken are no more
never were, or could be sure
absorb in every limit’s ode
the beauty that is here bestowed
oh dream, approach whilst silhouettes
will mask, concealing these regrets
unspoken words and misplaced ways
machinery of this sky and phase
oh existence, in this ether tale
twix sleep or maybe heaven’s veil
what secrete does the dream protect
and through the ivory moon connect
