Ever, as you know, is
At all times
Forever, being the infinite
Temporal destination
Yet here we are in
Entropic
Demise
And through an opaque
Window of lies
And despite the doleful
Cries
We find ourselves in
Fornever

Calling those who cannot be
To you who want but are like me
Who have a heart yet have this wall
Seeing worlds but evading all
Calling those who have a smile
Would like to meet but run a mile
In a room will find the crook
Avoiding the most kindly look
Calling those who want to find
A means, a cure, to stop this bind
Then stop at each and every stage
Are too afraid to turn the page
Calling those who’ve reached the end
Be aware I comprehend
You’re not alone and not so strange
In post-corporal we will change
Calling those who care no more
We are together on this shore
Where we can speak and touch and gaze
No longer with anaesthetic haze

When rain came, the morning stilled.
Sid’s ode accompanied a blaze of today
while a vast unconsciousness,
in another place, a different time,
squandered this perhaps reality
for the sake of yesterday’s meaninglessness.
Came those beads of devotion,
their involuntary role
chance t’ward purification.
Discrete pellucid enigmas,
yet anatomical;
resembling a thought of corporeal originality.
The fire spread;
gorging shadows, evaporating nightmares.
In its wake remained the falling melody;
a likeness of invisible rues.
Still, it’s good to watch an inevitable and harmonious
death by evaporation or incorporation.
With thirst abated
and a cordiality of degrees,
illusions came vapour, alike the dryness breaking out.
Arising, to take a spell of mindfulness,
the perception to witness through panes
such universality of elegance, with a trace of paradox.
