take heed

to woe i say good morrow

awakening with thy sorrow

proclaim to dreams endure

that here is not so sure

as light doth strike thyne eyes

another day’s surprise

take tears away and warm

quell soon life’s gathering storm

tis now that all should be

a pact twix time and thee

for past and contemplation

are non but aberration

the here, the now, the thought

what evolution brought

take heed though as yee feel

for ideal might ne’er be real

those are the days

this madness in the afternoon

with eve emerging all too soon

‘tis oft that raises glass to lip

but Herzton words are cruel to quip

so breathe here several antonyms

as packages for all your whims

and recollect the times of awe

when sunrise made the day so raw

the night arrived, transition missed

of all excuses, we were pissed

eternity

a sliver of moon o’er dancing clouds

‘twas auburn and mauve that wrestled with trees

defying the edging stars

detaining a blackness that is forever

till the day was brought to her knees

and came the cosmic peace

insomuch coexists a mortal’s today

of solar rising and life-force passion

with love, toil and ardour

achieving a setting of heart

wondering in the even

eyes filled as the zodiac materialises

while darkness paints candles in messengers’ hands

in skyward repose, will reveal an eternity in one day

the longest night

good riddance to the longest night

with its moon in haze and stars in plight

with its chill to bone, of needle fingers

burning heart and white that lingers

yes, take your heed, o night of guile

when even music froze a while

in dullness brought as sombre mind

for time was staid, ‘twas so unkind

yet seemly might be thought your still

a photograph of all, a will

bequeathing somnolescence, purity

a clarity for all to see

‘tis pity, now we see the sight

the beauty in the longest night
