Taking the Piss

Just another afternoon
Blazing sun
Almost hot (behind glass)
Another cold mind
Behind red eyes (for all to see)
Then come the words
And, as you know, sound dominates
Even for the indifferent
And it all changes
It all rearranges
The words of no return
Into the grey stuff … they burn

What an afternoon
Not to repeat very soon
There’s not much more to tell
Except it must be similar in … hell
Breathing in, and out
Taking one step
In front of another
Eating, drinking
Taking a piss, in private
Taking the piss, in public
There must be more
Than this

There it is.

Forever is such a short spell
in dreams,
twix elevation and repatriation.
Then come the realities,
not withstanding the enigmas,
where actuality, midst perpetuity, is now.

Perhaps only the prohibitive
can realize the nature of extracorporality,
the bloodless journey t’ward the hell of life,
the truth,
for blood is cheap
and deliberations are not.

So who are you to define love,
the agony
and the vastness?
Such that smiles dissolve
when eyes open,
and there it is.

The bits that fall,
they say it all,
for entropy
is the new, well, ‘me’,
where bonds are gone
and ‘I’ am none.
A unity
that sets each free,
a universe,
no more rehearse,
for this is it,
not just one bit.
You and I,
we are the sky.
